Alon Utt
"If you make a piece and it isn't right, it never leaves your possession."
Spoken like a true artist who is serious about the quality of his work. Alon Utt is a woodworker. His grandfather was a woodworker. "I've done some kind of woodworking all my life," he says proudly. "I just love wood."
While traveling several years ago, Alon happened on scrollsaw artwork where intricate, detailed designs had been cut out of panels of wood. He was immediately interested and said to himself, "I can do that." He began to research and discovered that the technique had originated in Germany the 1600's and grew in stature in the 1700's in France....
