Exhibiting Members of the Gallery of the Arts
Ginnie Conaway
Winston-Salem, NC

Watercolor/Acrylic
Ginnie has combined her love of gardening and her ability in watercolor to create lustrous florals that seem to glow from within. Often painting flowers grown in her gardens, she uses transparent glazes to create the depth and luminosity that are the hallmark of her work. She exhibits in galleries, invitational shows and outdoor art festivals. Heirlooms from her mother have recently led her into painting still lifes of crystal and lace. Her longtime hobby of showing dogs trained her eye and led into creating commissioned pet portraits. Working first in oils, then acrylics built up a clientele, but after discovering watercolor while painting florals, the pet portraits are now also done in that medium.
