I was born in Montreal, Canada, and lived there for almost twenty years. I loved Montreal and really enjoyed exploring the city on the Metro as a young person. My hobbies were drawing and animals. My Mom worked as a medical secretary and always brought home the pumkin orange paper that separated the hospital x-rays for me and my sister to draw our pictures on. We had a menagerie of unusual pets, including several monkeys of many types. I graduated from Marymount High School at 16 and popped in and out of colleges in Montreal, uncertain of my future. I moved to San Antonio, Texas to see if I could be a veterinarian assistant, but ended up in Nursing school instead. After three years in San Antonio, I moved to Austin Texas, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas at Austin. I have lived in Winston Salem for the last ten years and find that this beautiful state has so much to offer.

Artist's Statement
I have noticed that most anything that I have wanted strongly enough, the Universe has provided to me, and with a little passion anything can happen! Painting has been good for my soul and I enjoy challenging myself to capture what is beyond the eye. Most of my works are done in acrylics using natural, warm and bold colors. I love painting just about anything, including landscapes, places, and people.

Although my professional career has involved the healing arts, I took art classes at the Community College in Austin and over the years I have studied with various artists from Austin and the Winston Salem area.

I am so grateful to a very special artist friend, Ginnie Conaway, who invited me to become part of the Community Arts Cafe. I have been truly blessed and pray that all those who are involved in CAC will also have many blessings!!
