My art is a culmination of my life's experience. Many things in my life have led me to the versatility in my artwork. I picture a thing in my mind, how or what will something look like in the colors I love. For me creating a piece of art is fun and exciting and having others appreciate my work is more than I could ask for.

Artist's Statement

Born and raised in New York City, Rose has lived in seven states and has traveled extensively. In 1972 North Carolina became home, where her and her husband raised two children and now have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She often draws from the many inspiring sights and experiences in her life for her artwork. This is seen in the diversity of her art while the bright colors reflect spirit and personality. After owning an advertising agency for nine years, retiring back to paints and brushes has given her an outlet for the many more years of creative thinking still unexplored.Teaching mixed media at the local community college has given her insight into the many ways art is perceived by any one individual. She often remarks,“I learn more from my students then I can ever give them.”
