Linda Weaver
Portrait Artist
Linda has seen a lot of things come early. In the third grade, Linda's favorite word was 'art'. "To me, it simply meant drawing and painting. I wasn't aware that art encompassed so much. But I had already fallen in love with it. My teacher was perceptive enough to my interest and appointed me bulletin board decorator." During her junior year in high school, she painted a portrait of a lady in a red dress. "At the time, I thought this portrait was the ultimate masterpiece. I remember my mother showing it to a guest while I swelled with pride." That same year, Linda entered a "Draw Me" contest in a magazine. Shortly after, a salesman showed up at the door and offered her a complete correspondence course for $400. "My daddy couldn't afford it, but knowing what it meant to me, he bought it on an installment plan".....
