After a lifetime of painting, Sue's focus has turned to portraits, particularly those of African Americans. In her latest body of work, Faces: Follow the Dream, the portraits speak volumes on past trials and triumphs while projecting a glimmering future with every face, compelling and unforgettable.
Faces: Follow the Dream, will exhibit at the Blue Diamond Gallery, which will be the sole venue for this genre of Sue's work. Regarding her donation to benefit the Triad Youth Jazz Society, Sue said "I can not imagine a world without the soul and passion of music or the creative texture of art. I consider it a privilege to offer my talent to benefit these young brilliant minds and the hands and hearts of the mentors who teach them."
